Teacher, environmental protection law and property law, Boston College Law School; taught on 7 faculties, U.S. and abroad (fired only once). Chaired Exxon-Valdez Oil Spill Commission’s Legal Research Task Force; consulting on multiple environmental cases–including Woburn toxics; BP Deepwater Horizon Oil spill Commission; Lake Biwa chemical pollution, Japan; whale entanglements; strip mining regulation; predatory condemnations. With students, carried the nation’s first endangered species case to go up through an economic Star Chamber and the Supreme Court, where the Attorney General of the U.S. himself argued against us, and we won.
